Haunted Helena: Montana's Queen City Ghosts by Ellen BaumlerMy rating: 2 of 5 stars
A quick read which was great because I didn't like this one at all. I'll give it two stars just because there's some interesting early Helena history in here but outside of that pffffft.
I expected something that was a bit more in depth from the people whom have claimed to had paranormal experiences. Instead the stories were given, generally, a good deal of historical background ( the good part of this book ) and then a glance over the experience itself. No questioning, no testing, no asking for proof or evidence. Just "this guy said he done sawed a ghost. THERE IS GHOSTS HURRRR!"
I'm a huge skeptic with most things presented to me as fact so the chance to read something that has some historical basis with people that might present first hand proof was enticing. Nope. The writing was also very amateurish and just rushed through everything. Just because you're a shorter book doesn't mean you have to speed through everything. Wouldn't recommend unless you want to use it for finding historical landmarks.
