I gave two stars simply because some of the wordplay and the form were intriguing, at points very personal and unique. Outside of that there's nothing here.
Shraya was highly rec'd to me by several people with comparisons to Kaur and Neruda. Nope nope nope. Even This is pretty much standard "throw things on a page to seem deep" approach to modern poetry with a huge dose of mental issues and victim complex. The personality showing through is of a confused and ill man that wants applause for existing rather than ability.
To be fair I heard that Shraya's other works are far better so I'll still give them a chance. I'm very much hoping it's not the same as this volume.
